Launched in March of 2018, Axie Infinity is an NFT -based video game produced by Sky Mavis, a Vietnam-based game development company.
Axie Infinity is widely popular for its in-game economy that utilizes a dedicated cryptocurrency in the form of SLP, or Smooth Love Potion.

The Basics
Axie Infinity revolves around monsters, known as "Axies", which are unique nonfungible tokens or NFTs. You can also trade with other players to obtain new Axies in the future.
Each Axie will have a specific class, affinity, and set of base stats and skills that they start with. Adventure Mode
Adventure mode is usually where most players start after they set up an Axie Infinity account. In Adventure Mode, players pit their Axies against computer-controlled monsters via a turn-based gameplay.
It's highly recommended for new or casual players as it does not require a high level of strategy, which is the case for Arena Mode combat. Players doing Adventure Mode play through 36 levels, with steadily increasing difficulty. Within these 36 levels, you'll encounter two bosses - one spawning at level 21 and the other at level 36.
Similar to Arena Mode, you can win SLP and experience points, but the latter can only be received if you are playing Adventure Mode with energy.
Arena Mode
PvP or Arena Mode is where Axie players use most of their time and energy. After all, it's where you win money in the form of SLP rewards.
In addition to SLP, you also get MMR, or matchmaking ranking, points. The higher your MMR, the bigger the SLP rewards you get for every win.
When you lose in Arena Mode, you do not lose any of the SLP you currently have. That said, you do forfeit a corresponding amount of MMR.
Strategies
Since you can only play a limited number of Arena Mode battles per day due to energy restrictions, you'll need to have a good strategy in order to maximize the amount of SLP earned over time.

Axie Infinity is undoubtedly a rising star within the NFT-based P2E gaming niche. In fact, to show you just how big the game's economy is, in 2021, an Axie was sold for roughly $150,000.
