What is UI/UX Design? What does it entail?

✔️ The User Interface (UI) Design:

The acronym UI in UI Design stands for “User Interface”. The User Interface Design involves the building of interfaces in software or computer devices. These can be in the form of Graphical User Interface or Voice-Controlled Interface or Gesture-Based Interface.

In the case of a website or mobile application, UI Design is a graphical layout (arranging visual elements) that will use Icons, buttons, typography, colour schemes, images and other items that the user interacts with. In addition, it will also entail screen layouts, interface animations, transitions, and any other micro-interaction.

✔️The key responsibilities of UI Designer:

    Design research

Visual graphic design involving colour, typography, etc.

    Interactivity and animation

    UI prototyping

    Implementation with developers

    ✔️The User Experience (UX) Design:

The acronym UX in UX Design stands for “User Experience”. The User Experience Design is concerned with the experience someone has with your product, website, mobile or web application, or usually some form of human-computer interaction (HCI). UX designers analyze whether the experience has been smooth or intuitive or confusing. UX designers research their target users to understand not only their needs but also to figure out solutions to improve the interaction with the interface.

✔️The key responsibilities of UX Designer:

    Prototyping and wire-framing

    Competitive analysis

    User research

    Information architect

Analyzing, testing, and improving user experience

Coordinating with UI designers  & developers

Both UI and UX design are different, yet they are often used interchangeably. While UX designers are responsible to design the wireframe (blueprint), UI designers bring the blueprint (wireframe) alive by adding visual details.
