Koo is micro-blogging platform, this is an Indian alternative to Twitter after several politicians and celebs joined it which was launched 10 months ago but is now being seen. Koo is used to express views and opinions on various topics like we do on twitter.
The Centre's immediate interest in the Koo app has come after Twitter failed to respond to a Indian government's notice, which was sent last week. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeiTY) asked Twitter India to block some tweets and accounts that were tweeting about sake tweets like "farmer genocide". However, the microblogging site Twitter has not responded to the notice so far.
Koo is a social media app and it’s more like a Twitter, which was launched in March 2020. In fact, PM Narendra Modi encouraged Indians to use the Koo App in his Mann Ki Baat speech too. This app won Prime Minister's Aatma Nirbhar Bharat App Innovation Challenge, Last year in August. Since then the app has garnered over a million subscribers.

Who has made Koo App?
Koo has been co-founded by Aprameya Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidawatka and has also built startups like TaxiForSure and redBus in their past entrepreneurial avatars.

Currently, The Koo App is available in 4 Indian languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada. While, Few more languages like Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bangla, Oriya, Malayalam, and Assamese will be added soon.

How to Download And Use Koo App?
As Koo is a microblogging site, By using this app users can write opinions on anything in the form of text, audio, or video. Limitation of word thoughts is 400 characters or a one-minute video. Koo is available for download on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Users can download the Koo app on their iPhone and Android devices. Once the user downloaded the Koo App, it can be use easily.
